Boat auction set for Tampa flea market

The Tampa (Fla.) Nautical Flea Market and Seafood Festival, set for Jan. 15 at the East Bay Speedway, will include a live boat auction.

More than 100 boat repossessions, short sales, dealer trades and private liquidations will be up for sale. An auction boat preview will be held all day on Jan. 14; the sale starts at 11 a.m. on Jan. 15. As many as 10,000 boat enthusiasts have attended previous editions of the two-day event.

The theme of this year's festival is “Bargains Galore.” Bargain hunters looking for deals can visit more than 300 booths of nautical and marine-related merchandise and services during the festival. Marinas and private individuals will display a wide selection of new and used boats.


Suzuki sponsoring TV show

Mike Frisch, host of Fishing the Midwest television series, announced that Suzuki would be the exclusive outboard motor of the show.

Sea Tow Foundation appoints new directors

The nonprofit Sea Tow Foundation has announced the return of Gail R. Kulp as executive director. Michael Wesolowski, the former executive director, is now the director of external affairs.
