App developer iTapTouch LLC, which produces mobile apps for the marine industry, is launching its new website in time for National Maritime Day.

“We choose May 25 because it happens to be National Maritime Day,” founder Nancy Birnbaum said in a statement. “We thought it fitting to celebrate and acknowledge the proud maritime heritage and honor the men and women who serve and have served as U.S. merchant mariners.”

The company, founded in 2010, developed the “World’s Best Boat Show App,” which aims to transform the way boat show-goers interact with exhibitors and give more people access to shows. Visitors to the new site can learn about the features and benefits of having such an app.
