Boatbuilders prepare for Lauderdale showcase

Less than two weeks before the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, set to kick off Oct. 29 and run through Nov. 2, manufacturers are announcing plans to showcase their products.

Denison Yacht Sales will be introducing the Selene 60 luxury trawler to the U.S. at the show.

"It's great to have a new model arriving in time to include in our exhibit at the Fort Lauderdale show," said Bob Denison, president of Denison Yacht Sales, in a statement.

The Selene 60 features a deep hull design with less keel to avoid increasing the draft. The engine room and lazarette height is increased by about eight to 10 inches and a cruiser stern was added to extend the hull to include the swim platform.

Based in Fort Lauderdale, Denison Yacht Sales can be found at Bahia Mar, B-Dock 224, 226, D-Dock 408, 408 A-B, 410, 410 A-B, and at Las Olas Marina A-Dock 9-10.

On the list of new superyacht designs, the 161-foot Trinity Yacht named Blind Date features a Patrick Knowles Design interior that is a mirror image of a virtual interior completed more than a year ago, right down to the subtle textures of the fabrics.

The look captures the vintage Hollywood plush environment of the 1940s, but with the addition of state-of-the-art technology.
