Boot Düsseldorf Canceled
Show organizer Messe Düsseldorf announced that it canceled this year’s Boot Düsseldorf. Originally scheduled for Jan. 23-31, the show had been postponed until April 17-25.
With Covid-19 numbers remaining high and lockdown measures in place in Europe and elsewhere, Messe Düsseldorf said an event of this magnitude could not be held.
“A resumption of trade-fair operations at the end of April appears increasingly unrealistic,” Messe Düsseldorf CEO Wolfram N. Diener said in a statement. “We have reassessed the situation with our partners and jointly decided to cancel Boot 2021 early. Our priority is the health and planning security of our exhibitors, visitors and service providers.”
The show is rescheduled for Jan. 22-30, 2022, as an in-person event that will include a digital component to allow virtual participation.
A registration portal is slated to open in May.
