Cannes Yachting Festival returns next week

This year more than 550 boats will be on display.

The French Riviera is known for attracting some of the world’s most glamorous people and most of the world’s most outrageous superyachts during the Cannes Film Festival.

But those who want see a large collection of large yachts — and in some cases get aboard and take one for a test — the Sept. 8-13 Cannes Yachting Festival is the place to be.

This year more than 550 boats will be on display, more than 100 models will be making their world premiere and roughly 80 percent of the boats will be available for sea trials.

ForbesLife compiled a list of seven “must-see” yachts at this year’s festival.
