It's an opportunity for small, local boatbuilders to show their best offerings and it happens this weekend in Hyannis, Mass.

The Cape Cod Maritime Trades Association will be holding its fifth annual local boatbuilders show at the Resort and Conference Center at Hyannis.

"Essentially, we wanted to provide an opportunity for small, local builders to be able to show the public what they had to offer," said Scott Zeien, one of the organizers of the event and owner of the Kingman Yacht Center in Cataumet.

The Boatbuilders Show on Cape Cod is modeled after the Maine Boatbuilders Show. Both events focus on small-scale, local builders rather than the more mainstream brands.
