Elan Yachts displays at New England Boat Show

Elan Yachts is making its North American debut at the New England Boat Show.

Sailboat manufacturer Elan Yachts is making its North American debut at the New England Boat Show, which opened Saturday and runs through Feb. 21 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

The company will be showing its E4 and Impression 45 at Springline Yacht Sales’ display.

Elan said its brand has been known on the North American market for decades because of its downhill snow skis. The company is now launching its sailing yachts in the United States.

Elan said it has been building boats since 1949. Its factory is based in Slovenia.

Elan offers two ranges of sailing yachts — the Elan range of high-performance racer/ cruisers from 21 to 45 feet and the Impression range of deck salon-style cruising yachts from 35 to 50 feet.

Both ranges are designed by Humphreys Yacht Design, which is based in the U.K.
