FLIBS adds official Guy Harvey merchandise

An exclusive Guy Harvey design for FLIBS 2017 will be unveiled before the show.

Informa Exhibitions, the organizers of the 58th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, announced that marine artist, conservationist, scientist and angler Guy Harvey will provide the official 2017 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show merchandise this year.

An exclusive Guy Harvey design for FLIBS 2017 will be unveiled before the show, which is set to take place Nov. 1-5 in seven locations in Fort Lauderdale.

Dr. Harvey, who started his career as an artist selling T-shirts at FLIBS 31 years ago, has been at the show selling his art and officially licensed merchandise, as well as meeting fans, every year since.

Other events for which Harvey has created official designs for include NASCAR and various country music festivals.

"The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show holds a special place in my heart, as it helped to launch my career as an artist and has allowed me to be in the public eye ever since," Harvey said in a statement. "I'm honored to see my art used for this year's official souvenir merchandise and hope to continue our professional relationship for years to come."

Fans will be able to purchase short-sleeved cotton T-shirts, long-sleeved performance shirts, posters, drinkware and other merchandise featuring the official design.

"Guy's longstanding relationship with FLIBS is meaningful for attendees, show staff and exhibitors," Informa Exhibitions vice president of marketing Mary Bender said. "It's exciting to have him as the official merchandise provider this year."
