Fort Lauderdale show adds sponsors

Producers of the 49th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show recently announced two new participating sponsors: Atlass Insurance Group and Intellian Technology.

“We are extremely pleased to be sponsoring the new Exhibitor and VIP dock situated in the midst of the megayachts just off the Hall Of Fame Marina,” said Frank Atlass, chairman and CEO of Atlass Insurance, in a statement. “This will allow brokers and dealers to drop off and pick up their clients at the dock to avoid parking hassles.”

Atlass Insurance Group offers insurance solutions for commercial and private clients with a focus on marine and aviation. The firm has been serving the marine industry since 1981. Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, it also maintains offices in Cocoa, Fla.; Newport, R.I.; and Mount Desert Island, Maine.

The other addition to the sponsor list, Intellian Technologies, is new to the marine industry. The South Korean company is entering the American marine market with a line of advanced satellite and communications systems. The company recently opened U.S. headquarters in Irvine, Calif.

“We are heavily committed to ensuring a successful entry into the marine industry, hence this sponsorship,” said John Minetola, U.S. sales director for Intellian. “We understand the importance of the Fort Lauderdale boat show as the largest boat show in the world, and that is precisely why we selected this event for our U.S. debut.”

This year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show will be held Oct. 30-Nov. 3. The show is sponsored by KeyBank, owned and sponsored by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, and produced and managed by Show Management.

Other participating sponsors include Yanmar Marine, Stidd Systems, Raymarine, Yachts International, Corum Swiss Time Pieces, The Sun-Sentinel, XM WX Satellite Weather, 10 CANE, Budweiser, Novurania, Las Olas Riverfront and Hook the Future.
