The 2009 Tampa Boat Show is offering free admission for active duty military, law enforcement and firefighters throughout the three-day event, which takes place Sept. 11-13 at the Tampa Convention Center.

"With the Tampa Boat Show opening on Sept. 11, we wanted to create an opportunity to give back to those servicemen and women who dedicate their lives to improving the quality of ours," show manager Larry Berryman said in a statement. "Whether they come to view the latest products, or take advantage of the family-friendly features, we're excited to show our appreciation."

Valid active identification must be presented upon admission.

The Tampa Boat Show will showcase hundreds of boats as well as the latest marine accessories. Visitors can also take advantage of new and interactive features including a meet-and-greet with Discovery Channel's "Deadliest Catch" captains John and Andy Hillstrand, free boat rides and more.

The show is produced by the National Marine Manufacturers Association.
