Hanse Yachts reports success at German show

Hanse Yachts AG said it sold more than 40 boats last month at the Düsseldorf International Boat Show.

Hanse, whose brands are Dehler, Hanse, Fjord, Moody, Sealine and Varianta, said the main visitor attractions at the Jan. 18-26 event in Germany were new models such as the Moody 54DS, the Sealine F380 and the Hanse 505.

Hanse said it had a steady stream of visitors from opening day until the end of the show.

"Although the market for new yachts remains challenging, the constant and consistent renewal of the product range is having an effect,” Hanse CEO Jens Gerhardt said in a statement.

“A varied customer focus through the Hanse Yachts AG multibrand strategy and the strengthening of the brand positioning in light of the restructuring following the takeover by the majority shareholder Aurelius in Munich is the secret behind the success. We are happy to have found a shareholder and partner in Aurelius, who supports us in our growth strategy and both assists us and pushes us forward in this process."
