Houston show returns in January

The Houston International Boat, Sport & Travel Show (Houston Boat Show) will open its doors on Jan. 8 at the NRG Center.

With a “Rock the Boat” theme, the 61st annual Houston International Boat, Sport & Travel Show (Houston Boat Show) will open its doors on Jan. 8 at the NRG Center.

The 10-day Houston tradition will continue through Jan. 17. It is the largest indoor boat show in the country and the longest-running show of its kind in the Southwest, producers say.

The show fills the entire floor of the NRG Center and features powerboats, pontoon boats, luxury cruisers, fishing boats, personal watercraft, campers and travel trailers.

This year, the show will feature “Croc Encounters: Live Alligator Wrestling!” Croc Encounters was established more than 10 years ago as a non-profit sanctuary dedicated to rescuing unwanted reptiles.
