Houston Summer Boat Show opens June 13

The Houston Summer Boat Show, which runs this June 13-17 at NRG Center, is expected to draw strong attendance.

The combination of an improving local economy and the replacement of boats damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Harvey have contributed to a boost in sales.

Boat Show President Ken Lovell adds “We are also seeing more and more boat buyers under the age of 45," said show president Ken Lovall. "Boat manufacturers have increased their inventory, and the dealers who have boats at the show will likely bring more than usual.”

The Houston Summer Boat Show features boats for fishing, water sports and for just spending time on the water.

Returning boat show traditions include fishing demonstrations at the Bass Tub, a 4,000 gallon, 18-wheeler-sized fish tank filled with live bass; Fish-O-Rama where kids can catch a rainbow trout; and the Kids Zone with bungee jumping and inflatable slide.
