IBEX debuts mobile website

A mobile website was introduced for the 21st annual International BoatBuilders' Exhibition & Conference, which takes place Oct. 17-19 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.

“The new IBEX mobile website makes it easier than ever for visitors to navigate the show and personalize their show experience right from the palm of their hand, with features that allow for optimal organization, real-time updates from the show floor and much more,” Professional BoatBuilder magazine publisher and show co-director Carl Cramer said in a statement.

Features of the IBEX mobile website include:

• Plotting and charting events

• Exhibitor, seminar and special-event information

• Maps of the show floor

• Shuttle bus schedule

The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation is the official sponsor of the website.

“Everyone is looking for information on the go these days, and we’ve made it a priority to provide the Take Me Fishing campaign resources, which include boat ramp locations and fishing hot spots, easily accessible on mobile platforms,” RBFF president and CEO Frank Peterson said in a statement. “We’re pleased to support the IBEX mobile site as a way to help attendees enjoy and more easily navigate the show.”

Connecticut spring show adds charity benefit

The Connecticut Spring Boat Show will be held Friday May 4 through Sunday, May 6, at Brewer Essex Island Marina in Essex, Conn., and this year will be the first time that admission fees will benefit the charity SailsUP4Cancer

AIM announces new hires

Catapult Creative Labs, the internal marketing communications agency of Active Interest Media, has hired Andrea Kupfer as vice president, account executive and Christina Erb LoVullo as creative services director. Kupfer will lead Catapult’s long-term sales growth and profitability and Erb LoVullo will oversee marketing and creative services.
