Social media channels for the International Boatbuilders' Exhibition & Conference in October are up and running.
The channels on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn are designed to let members of the marine industry know that although IBEX once was considered a manufacturer boat show, there is now something for everyone.
“One of the things I’m doing with the social media channels is trying to get the word out about the educational purposes for IBEX,” said Engaged CEO Josh Chiles, who is spearheading the social media for the show. “It needs to be explained to the public in general so they can know what to expect.”
The channels already are publishing content about what to expect this year. A YouTube channel also is on the verge of being up and running, Chiles said. It will be active as the show draws closer and during the show, he said.
IBEX will be held Oct. 2-4 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.
