The International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference announced that Michelle Biersner joined the staff as education director. Biersner’s 25-plus years of experience in trade show and conference production includes overseeing education content and events in the outdoor industry.

She will be tasked with expanding the IBEX seminar series, as well as overseeing preconference sessions held before the show opens. IBEX is scheduled for Sept. 29-Oct. 1 at the Tampa Convention Center in Florida.

“I look forward to joining the IBEX team as the new education director,” Biersner said in a statement. “I’m passionate about outdoor recreation, and working in the boating industry is a great extension to the experience I already have. Developing ongoing educational opportunities and partnerships is so important to ensure that we continue to focus on innovation, best practices and business solutions.”

“I am confident in Michelle’s abilities, and I know that with her experience and the support of entire team, this year’s program will continue to deliver the exceptional education IBEX is known for,” IBEX director Anne Dunbar said.
