IBEX opens online registration

Online registration is now open for the 2012 International BoatBuilders' Exhibition & Conference.

The marine technology and networking event, which attracts thousands of the industry’s decision-making professionals, is scheduled for Oct. 2-4 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.

Registered attendees have free access to the exhibit hall and manufacturers’ workshops. For a nominal fee, attendees have the option to choose conference seminar packages ranging from the full package (nine sessions) to a six-pack (six sessions) or individual sessions, according to a release.

“We have more than 90 technical and business management sessions in 13 different tracks taught by some of the leading experts in their fields,” IBEX co-director and Professional BoatBuilder publisher Carl Cramer said in a statement. “IBEX 2012 is more diverse than ever. This year, our seminars have something for everyone in the boating industry, addressing all aspects of boat design and construction, management, sales and marketing.”

“More than 500 exhibitors will be showcasing their latest technologies and innovations at IBEX 2012,” IBEX co-director and National Marine Manufacturers Association president Thom Dammrich said. “As the boating industry continues to recover from recession, now is the perfect time to invest in knowledge through training, to network with the industry’s best and be on the cusp of change. This year is shaping up to be the biggest and best IBEX yet, where the business of boating gets done.”

IBEX organizers also have partnered with the Louisville Convention & Visitors Bureau, the official housing agency for IBEX 2012. The convention bureau has more than 19 participating hotels in the downtown and airport area, ensuring the lowest room rates and “extras” that are only available to attendees who make their reservations in the IBEX room block.

The bureau is also offering monthly drawings. The grand prize is two tickets to the 2013 Kentucky Derby and will be awarded at IBEX.
