Industry leaders headline dealer conference panel

Top executives from four leading companies in the marine industry will headline the Industry Leaders Panel at the Marine Dealer Conference & Expo, which takes place Nov. 11-14 in Orlando, Fla.

The panel will discuss the challenges and opportunities they see for the industry in the next year at 2 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Orange County Convention Center, show sponsor Boating Industry magazine announced.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of the panelists. Boating Industry magazine editor Jonathan Sweet will moderate the discussion.

This year’s panelists:

• Dusty McCoy has been chairman and CEO of Brunswick since 2005, navigating the largest boatbuilder through the recession. McCoy spent five years as president of the Brunswick Boat Group before he was named CEO.

• Ben Speciale has been the president of Yamaha’s Marine Group since 2010 and has spent 25 years working in the industry for Yamaha and other companies. During Speciale’s tenure Yamaha has won numerous awards for customer satisfaction and product innovation.

• Paxson St. Clair is the CEO of Cobalt Boats, the company his family has guided for more than 40 years. St. Clair also was the 2011 Boating Industry Mover & Shaker of the Year.

•Bruce Van Wagoner is president of the Marine Group at GE Capital, the largest lender in the industry. He works with dealers and manufacturers throughout the country.
