The Progressive Insurance Baltimore Boat Show is changing dates and expanding, show producer National Marine Manufacturers Association announced.

The show, which had traditionally been held in mid-to-late January, is moving to Feb. 28-March 3 in 2013. Next year’s show will take up 33 percent more space at the Baltimore Convention Center.

The new dates mean no potential conflicts with the NFL playoffs, and likely better weather.

“We believe these changes to the show are necessary for its growth and prosperity and are excited about the opportunities that the changes will afford us, such as being able to produce a more comprehensive show for attendees with enhanced features and educational spaces, consistent and convenient parking and more qualified attendee exposure to enhance your ROI,” show coordinator Tara Davis said in an e-mail.
