Businesses in London are gearing up for the 2014 London Boat Show, which will open Saturday and continue through Jan. 12 at ExCel London.

Planned model debuts include Fairline’s Targa 48 Gran Turismo and Princess Yachts’ V48, according to the East Anglian Daily Times.

Other companies from Suffolk and north Essex exhibiting at this year’s show include Anglia Yacht Brokerage, Brunton’s Propellers, Clarke & Carter, Jeckells, Mantsbrite, Suffolk Yacht Harbour and Viking Mouldings.

Also at the show will be America’s Cup winner and multi-Olympic gold medalist Sir Ben Ainslie, whose JP Morgan BAR AC45 catamaran will be on display.

Visitors also will be able to take part in activities ranging from canoeing to stand-up paddleboarding in free taster sessions and to watch top sailors compete in regattas in the dock area alongside the ExCel center.

Taking place alongside the show is the Telegraph Cruise Show, which runs from Jan. 10-12 and is free for holders of tickets to the main boat show.
