Maine show will feature women’s initiative event

An invitation-only event outlining the Women in the Marine Industry Initiative will be held March 15 at the Maine Boatbuilders Show in Portland.

Maine Marine Trades Association executive director Susan Swanton and Landing School advancement director Barry Acker will discuss the need for this type of initiative in Maine and across the country and give attendees ideas about how to advance the cause.

The event will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Residence Inn Portland Downtown/Waterfront.
