The Tampa Boat Show, ABBRA courses and the 2010 Marine Dealer Conference & Expo are on the horizon.
Thousands of boaters are expected to visit the 2010 Tampa Boat Show, set for Sept. 10-12 at the Tampa Convention Center.
Hundreds of the latest boats and accessories will be in display.
The area's largest boat show offers fun attractions for boaters of all ages, including the Discover Boating Dock, featuring free boat rides and boat-handling courses; the new Tampa Fire Rescue's fire boat; live music at the Party Barge and the Affordability Pavilion, displaying boats that can be financed for $250 a month or less.

American Boat Builders & Repairers Association will be offering two courses this fall at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky., immediately following the International Boatbuilders' Exhibition & Conference.
On Oct. 1, a Marine Equipment Operator Training in Marine Straddlelift is scheduled for the morning, and a Marine Forklift Training will be available to Marine Equipment Operator Training participants that afternoon.
"We're offering these training courses immediately after IBEX for ABBRA members and non-members," ABBRA president Doug Domenie said in a statement. "Our Marine Equipment Operator Training has always been a popular course and coupling it with IBEX is a great way to offer people convenient access to low-cost training-with no additional travel expenses."
The fee for the Marine Equipment Operator Training in Marine Straddlelift or Forklift is $150 per person, but registrants who opt to take both courses will pay a reduced fee of $275.

The 2010 Marine Dealer Conference & Expo is set for Nov. 15-17 at the Orange County Convention Center and Rosen Plaza hotel in Orlando, Fla. The event will feature an expanded exhibit hall in addition to educational seminars.
"Building on the success and growth of the past two years of MDCE conferences, this year's event is moving to a new, larger location with a lot more exhibits and an expanded educational format of three tracks," said conference chairman John Vallely Jr. "In addition, there will be outstanding panel discussions, new speakers along with networking with other dealers and manufacturers."
The conference has more than doubled in size in the last two years, organizers said. The 2009 event hosted 743 attendees and 439 dealers.
