Turkish shipyard Mazu Yachts said its new 42 Walkaround will have its world premiere at the Sept. 12-17 Cannes Yachting Festival.

The builder has been designing, producing and marketing luxury hard-top and open motoryachts since 2011.

Mazu said the 42 Walkaround has an overall length of 40 feet and a maximum beam of 12 feet. The center console leaves room for two ample lateral walkarounds.

Head designer and owner of the yardHalit Yukay said he has succeeded in giving the 42 a freeboard that is high enough to allow movement on deck in complete safety even while at sea, but still keeping her sportive profile with its military twist overtones.

The company said the yacht’s 8-ton displacement and special hull shape take full advantage of the propulsion system: two 435-hp Volvo Penta IPS 600s, giving the 42 Walkaround a top speed of 47 knots and a cruising speed of 32 knots.
