METS showcases DAME award winners

The DAME Award 2012 overall winner and six category winners in the annual Design Award METS competition, which were announced Tuesday at the Marine Equipment Trade Show in Amsterdam, were given a more formal showcase today by the international event.

The 22nd annual competition attracted 115 products from 25 countries, short-listed to 39 entries for final consideration.

The nine-member industry panel that chose the winners included U.S. technical journalist Nigel Calder, Andrea Frabetti, vice president of engineering for the Ferretti Group, and Jean-François de Premorel, development director of Prestige Yachts and the Ferretti Group.

METS, and the SuperYacht Pavilion, continue through Thursday in the Amsterdam RAI Convention Center.

Connecticut spring show adds charity benefit

AIM announces new hires

Catapult Creative Labs, the internal marketing communications agency of Active Interest Media, has hired Andrea Kupfer as vice president, account executive and Christina Erb LoVullo as creative services director. Kupfer will lead Catapult’s long-term sales growth and profitability and Erb LoVullo will oversee marketing and creative services.
