Michigan trade group sets 2014 boat show dates


The Michigan Boating Industries Association announced the dates of its 2014 boat shows.

The shows offer face-to-face access to more than 90,000 boaters each year, the group said.

Dates and locations are as follows:

56th Annual Detroit Boat Show, Feb. 15-23

Cobo Center, One Washington Blvd., Detroit

The Detroit show is the largest boat show in Michigan, featuring the premiere showing of hundreds of new 2014 and new non-current model boats, motors, trailers and accessories ranging from 10 to potentially 50 feet.

• 22nd Annual Spring Boating Expo, March 13-16

Suburban Collection Showplace, 46100 Grand River Ave., Novi

The expo features more than 100 exhibitors showing new 2014 and new non-current ski boats, fishing boats, pontoons, small to midsize runabouts, personal watercraft, kayaks, inflatables and motors, plus trailers, dockage, accessories and services.

4th Annual Boating and Outdoor Festival, Sept. 18-21

Lake St. Clair Metropark, 31300 Metro Parkway, Harrison Township

The outdoor recreation show features boats in the water and on land and other recreation exhibits. The event is held along the shoreline of Lake St. Clair and includes live music in the Tiki Bar and a Taste Fest.


NMMA Confirms Industry Growth
