Minneapolis, Seattle show dates announced

The 38th Minneapolis Boat Show will be held Jan. 20-24 at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

New features to the indoor show include Wakeboard Rail Jam, where top wakeboard and water-ski pros will be performing the latest sport skills and tricks in a giant pool inside the convention center. Also, a Pirates of Colonial America exhibit will allow adults and children to learn about 19th century pirate life with historic artifacts, buried treasure and period shops.

"The Minneapolis Boat Show continues to be the area's largest and most comprehensive boat show in the upper Midwest, providing visitors the opportunity to benefit from the best bargains of the year and find everything you need to get on the water next summer," said Jennifer Thompson, show manager, in a statement.

Also featured will be pre-show shopping so attendees can view all the boats that will be displayed during the five-day event as well as schedule appointments with dealers ahead of time. The Affordability Pavilion will be returning for its third year, and sailing and boating safety seminars will also be featured.
