Newport Show Dates Announced

Citing the rollout of a “safe and effective vaccine,” organizers of the Newport International Boat Show are planning for an in-person event Sept. 16-19.

The Golden Anniversary edition of the show will be held at Newport Yachting Center along the downtown waterfront.

“We are excited to kick off the boat-show season in person this year,” Nancy Piffard, Newport Exhibition Group show director, said in a statement.

Organizers said a limited number of tickets will be allocated for each day and that state and city guidelines will be followed, such as mandatory mask wearing, contact-free ticketing and staggered entry to the show.

“Our show is important to the city, the state and the recreational boating industry, and we are doing everything we can to deliver the exceptional experience that the Newport International Boat Show is known for,” Piffard said.
