Newport show organizers schedule press conference

It will be held at 8:15 a.m. on Sept. 18 in the Sunset Lounge at the end of Commercial Wharf in Newport.

The Newport Exhibition Group, owners and producers of the Sept. 17-20 Newport International Boat Show in Rhode Island, announced plans for the 2015 state-of-the-industry press conference.

It will be held at 8:15 a.m. on Sept. 18 in the Sunset Lounge at the end of Commercial Wharf in Newport. The event will feature a question-and-answer session with a panel of industry experts and it is open to members of the press, invited guests and exhibitors.

“We are excited about our annual state-of-the-industry press conference,” Newport Exhibition Group show director Nancy Piffard said in a statement. “Editors and guests will hear each expert’s thoughts on current trends related to their segment of the industry, as well as what the future holds for the boating market. It’s an exciting time to be in Newport, and this press event should not be missed.”
