The National Marine Representatives Association is hosting "Ask A Rep" sessions at the International BoatBuilders' Exhibition & Conference, which is set for Oct. 4-6 in Tampa, Fla.
Independent sales reps play an important function in the marine sales chain, but many manufacturers have only a cursory knowledge of the work reps do, the NMRA said.
Between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Oct. 4-5, NMRA members will be available for one-on-one consultations. They'll bring their experience on topics in the OEM and aftermarket segments.
The hosts also will explain how they develop and foster relationships with the manufacturers they serve and boatbuilders, marinas, retail outlets and other boat-related businesses.
