Organizers seek seminar proposals for Fort Lauderdale show

Educational seminar proposals are being sought for the crew seminars and captain's briefing at this year's Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which takes place Oct. 29 through Nov. 2.

The seminars are designed to provide insights and information about topics relevant to superyacht captains and crew that will help them in their personal and professional lives. They are hosted by the International Superyacht Society, Marine Industries of South Florida and US Superyacht Association.

Potential topics include: Introduction to Yachting; Taxes and Investments - both; International and U.S. crew Safety at Sea; Health Insurance; Medical Issues; Visas and Vessel Entry Procedures; Business of Chartering; Project Management; Flag State Options; Negotiating with a Shipyard; Careers after Yachting.
