Orlando Boat Show sets attendance record

The 14 annual edition of the Orlando Boat Show set an attendance record with a 28-percent increase in visitors. Show host the Marine Industry Association of Central Florida said the event had more than 60 exhibitors and nearly 400 boats on display at the Orange County Convention Center.

“MIACF has just finished the most exceptional Orlando Boat Show we have ever had,” said MIACF executive director David Ray in a statement. “Not only were show space sales the best ever, but our show attendance was up 28 percent over last year’s February show.”

Added Joe Lewis of Mt. Dora Boating Center, “The 2018 Orlando Boat Show did not disappoint. It gave us the opportunity to introduce our dealership to many new faces as well as show how boating brings families together.”

Beyond building awareness about Central Florida boating, MIACF reported encouraging sales numbers from the event. “Dealer sales were strong, especially in the larger boats and the next few weeks should bring many additional sales,” said Ray.

MIACF will return with a Fall Boat Show August 17-19.
