Outer Reef Yachts honored at London show

Outer Reef Yachts was among the winners at the 2014 Motor Boat Awards in London earlier this month as the Outer Reef 700 took the honors in the trawler yachts and aft cabin category.

The award ceremony was hosted by the editors of Motor Boat & Yachting and Motor Boats Monthly, which launched the awards in 2007. Their journalists formed the judging panel.

Motor Boat & Yachting editor Hugo Andreae said the Outer Reef 700 “does everything a world-class trawler yacht should and matches it with a level of build quality and customization that we would never have believed possible at this price.”

Fifty-five boats were finalists for the 2014 awards. The nine winners came from Austria, England, Italy and the United States.

Among the other winners were the Austrian-built Frauscher 1017 GT in the Performance Boat category and the Ferretti 960 in the Custom Yacht category.
