Newport Exhibition Group, owners and producers of the Providence Boat Show, said the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is its 2013 Official Charitable Partner.

The 20th annual Providence show will be held Jan. 18-20 at the Rhode Island Convention Center on Sabin Street.

The charitable group will receive a portion of the ticket sales on Jan. 20 and will be provided a booth at the event and the opportunity for its staff to educate and share information about its mission. Maritime Solutions of Portsmouth, R.I., has donated a Walker Bay inflatable for the group to raffle at the show. The winning ticket will be drawn on the afternoon of Jan. 20 and the winner will be notified immediately.

“We are extremely grateful that the Providence Boat Show has chosen us as their 2013 charitable partner,” society director of development Jim McGee said in a statement. “Our needs continue year-round, but especially in the winter months. The financial assistance the show will provide and the awareness their efforts will raise are a tremendous boost to our organization and the resources with which we care for our animals.”
