Providence show returns in February

Publish date:

The Providence Boat Show will return Feb. 2-4 at the Rhode Island Convention Center.

Brokers will feature hundreds of new and used boats, including cruising and fishing boats, standup paddleboards, jet skis and sailing dinghies, organizers said. Other exhibitors will showcase boating equipment, electronics, gear and clothing.

Highlights will include seminars hosted by the Annapolis School of Seamanship; “Reel Island,” for learning inside tricks from Big Game Sport Fishing and experiencing reeling in a big fish with a fishing simulator; and the Progressive Pool for practicing docking, along with a second pool for racing radio-controlled boats.

On Feb. 3 and 4, former New England Patriots defensive end Jarvis Green will be at the show cooking his Oceans 97 shrimp. Oceans 97 is a Louisiana shrimp wholesaler that Green owns.

Show hours will be extended until 9 p.m. on Feb. 2 and 3, and the event will end at 3 p.m. on Super Bowl Sunday.

Further information is available at the show’s website.
