Marketing communications agency Rushton Gregory Communications has added the Newport Exhibition Group to its client list.
Rushton Gregory will lead public relations efforts for the Newport International Boat Show and the Providence (R.I.) Boat Show, with a focus on broadening media exposure and increasing awareness.
A subsidiary of Newport Harbor Corp., the Newport Exhibition Group specializes in trade and consumer show production. The Newport International Boat Show, held annually in September, is one of the largest in-water boat shows in the country, covering more than 13 acres along America’s Cup Avenue in Newport, R.I.
Hosting more than 750 domestic and international exhibitors, the show features new sailboats, powerboats, and products and services. The Providence Boat Show, located in downtown Providence, is the largest winter boat show in southeastern New England and the first show of the year in the region.
Taking place each January, the event hosts thousands of visitors from New England who attend to see new gear for the boating and fishing season, participate in show activities and attend seminars.
