The National Sailing Hall of Fame is accepting online nominations until April 1 for its 2014 class. Inductees will be chosen this summer.

The nominating categories include Sailing, Technical/Design and Contributors.

The hall said candidates should be U.S. citizens; however if someone of international birth has had a significant impact on the development of the sport of sailing in the United States, that person may be included.

The hall said nominees must be 45 or older. Posthumous nominations can be made 5 years postmortem or in the year that the person would have reached 45 years of age, whichever is sooner.
