The inaugural Progressive Insurance San Francisco Boat Show closed Sunday, attracting 7,806 visitors to McCovey Cove at AT&T Park and Pier 48.

“The inaugural San Francisco Boat Show exceeded our expectation in both sales and in quality prospects,” Reinhard Boost, of NorCal Mastercraft, said in a statement.

The 2014 show featured seminars and attractions that included Discover Boating hands-on training; Discover Sailing on-the-water training presented by Sail America; a San Francisco Bay sailing experience; Try It Cove, an in-water area where attendees could try out the latest in paddlesports, including stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking; an extensive seminar lineup; and toy boat building for kids.

“It really has been an awesome show. The marketing was great. We saw the boat show on the news, and we are ready to sign up for next year,” said Paula Richardson of Sporting Edge Ski and Marine.
