This roundup of upcoming shows and events includes news from the International Superyacht Society and the Cabo Marine Show.

The International Superyacht Society will again celebrate yacht design and industry leadership with the only superyacht industry awards program based purely on peer review and selection at its annual International Awards for Design and Leadership on Oct. 25, the opening day of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

The society, which is in its 23rd year as the voice of the global large yacht industry, also hosts other events during the Fort Lauderdale show. Its annual membership breakfast is free to ISS members and is open to non-members at a nominal cost.

Active Interest Media is the parent company of Show Management, which produces the Fort Lauderdale boat show. AIM also owns Soundings Trade Only.

Boating enthusiasts will be in Cabo San Lucas July 5-7 to celebrate the Cabo Marine Show’s third consecutive year as the only boat show and marine products and services fair on the Baja California peninsula and Mexico’s west coast.

The 2012 show will have a new location at IGY Marina Cabo San Lucas in front of the Wyndham Cabo San Lucas Resort. Exhibitors will showcase their products on the marina boardwalk between Docks K and M and in the water at L-Dock.

The show also will feature a new shore-side Boat Market for used boats. It will be in the Las Villas de Mexico parking lot behind Plaza Nautica, a few steps from K-Dock.

Admission is free to the general public.

Confirmed exhibitors include IGY Marina Cabo San Lucas; Pisces Group Cabo and its new yacht brokerage division, Pisces Yachts, for the Baja California Sur area; BRP Los Cabos, featuring the latest in Sea-Doo watercraft and Can-Am ATVs and Spyder roadsters; and Cabo Riviera, a master-planned oceanfront community in the East Cape area of Los Cabos.
