This roundup of upcoming shows and events includes news from the Fall Jersey Shore Boat Sale & Expo and Boat Asia 2013.

The 2012 Fall Jersey Shore Boat Sale & Expo will be held Sept. 21-23 at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood, N.J.

The event will feature new and used boats and accessories for sale by New Jersey marine retailers and will include 2013 models.

Organized by the Marine Trades Association of New Jersey, the show will feature nearly 60 boat brands from builders that include Alumacraft, Avalon, Alweld, Bennington, Bentley Pontoons, Boston Whaler, Carolina Classic, Carolina Skiff, Carolina Cats, Chaparral, Clearwater, Cobalt, Cobia, Crownline, Edgewater, Formula, Four Winns, Fun Chaser, Glacier Bay, Grady White, Godfrey, Glastron, HydraSports, Jupiter, Kawasaki Jet Skis, Kawasaki Waverunners, Key West, Larson, Livingston, Maycraft, Monterey, NauticStar, North Coast, Palm Beach Pontoons, Pathfinder, Premier Pontoons, Pursuit, Regal, Regulator, Rinker, Robalo, Sailfish, Sea Fox, Sea Hunt, Southwind, Starcraft, Steiger Craft, Sting Ray, Striper, Sylvan, Sundance Skiff, Tidewater, Triumph, Veranda, Wellcraft, Yamaha Sport Boats and Yamaha Wave Runners.

Those who attend also will be able to shop the Boaters Marketplace and meet with vendors for engines, accessories and services.

"The Jersey Shore Boat Sale & Expo offers a unique and affordable opportunity to meet with and shop from the top boat dealers and retailers in the state. The cost for a family of four to attend is less than $10, along with convenient parking located right next to the entrance of the show," MTA/NJ executive director Melissa Danko said in a statement.

Event details, including directions, a list of exhibitors and highlights, are online at Admission is $2; children age 12 and younger will be admitted free. The show will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 21; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 22; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 23.

The boat and water sports lifestyle show Boat Asia 2013 will be held April 18-21 at the Marina at Keppel Bay in Singapore.

Supported by the Singapore Tourism Board, regional marinas and the regional boating industry, Boat Asia is the showcase in Asia for luxury yachts as large as 50 meters, organizers said.

The show will officially be launched at the Sept. 12-17 Cannes International Boat & Yacht Show and Sept. 28 in Singapore at an industry launch event.

The 2013 show will feature a hosted program for high-net-worth visitors from China and Indonesia. There also will be a gala for the cream of Asia’s boating high society and the leisure industry.

“Boat Asia is ideal for yacht manufacturers to reach out to the growth markets like China, Indonesia, India, Singapore and Southeast Asia,” TMX Show Productions managing director Herman Ho said in a statement.

Ho also said the event will showcase yachts from 6 meters to 50 meters, luxury charter yachts and green boating technologies.
