This roundup of upcoming shows and events includes news from the Bayfront Boat Show and the Sportfishing Summit.

Sarasota Yacht and Ship Services, along with Marina Jack, will be hosting the seventh annual Bayfront Boat Show Oct. 1-3 at Marina Jack in Sarasota, Fla.

Admission is free.

The Sportfishing Summit, the American Sportfishing Association's premier networking and business management event, is set for Oct. 26-28 at the Westin Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale.

This year's summit will focus on participation and advocacy, the domestic and international economic markets and the social technology that is affecting everyone's business.

On the ASA website, those interested in attending will find information about registration, housing and sponsorship opportunities for the 2010 summit.
