This roundup of upcoming shows and events includes news from Mack Boring & Parts Co. and the Nashville Boat & Sportshow.

Mack Boring & Parts Co. is offering marine diesel maintenance seminars so sailboat and powerboat owners can become more familiar with their engines.

The series includes one-day basic maintenance seminars and two-day hands-on seminars that teach emergency repair skills. Separate seminars are structured to meet the needs of sailboat and powerboat owners.

Classes are offered at Mack Boring's training facilities in Union, N.J., and at the company's Middleborough, Mass., and Wilmington, N.C., locations, and in Waukegan, Ill. Advance registration is encouraged, as classes are limited to 10.

To date, more than 20,000 students have been trained.

Mack is a leading distributor of marine and industrial diesel engines, generators, transmissions and accessories.

The 25th annual Nashville Boat & Sportshow is set for Jan. 6-9, 2011, at the Nashville Convention Center.

Visitors will be able to see, board and buy hundreds of boats and recreational vehicles from regional dealers and take advantage of show specials on marine accessories and electronics. The show also will offer family activities and entertainment.

The show is produced by the National Marine Manufacturers Association.
