This roundup of upcoming shows and events includes news from the Savannah (Ga.) International Boat Show and the Saltwater Fishing Expo.

The ninth annual Savannah (Ga.) International Boat Show will be held Friday through Sunday at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center.

The show features the latest models from the region's leading dealers, many offered at discount prices.  With an expansion into the second hall of the convention center this year, the show promises to offer a wide variety of boats, organizers said.

Exhibitors will feature an extensive assortment of the latest in marine and fishing products, including fishing tackle and accessories; marine electronics; boat lifts; dock systems; marine finance and insurance; and nautical jewelry and gifts.

Events at the show will include the Savannah Fishing Expo, pirate performances presented by the Plundering Pirates of Paradise and The Fishing Simulator.

From March 18-20, the Garden State Exhibit Center in Somerset, N.J., will be transformed into a saltwater angler's paradise as hundreds of exhibitors offer deals on equipment to help anglers get ready for the coming season.

Presented by KeepAmericaFishing, the Saltwater Expo also has a full schedule of events and seminars.

"The Saltwater Fishing Expo covers the entire spectrum of saltwater sportfishing, from offshore and inshore to big-game tackle and everything in between," show director Jonathan Sauers said in a statement. "The expo is also great place for fishing enthusiasts to learn tips and techniques from some of the best professional anglers in the world of saltwater fishing."

In addition to the Saltwater Fishing Expo, the American Sportfishing Association, under its consumer-show management company, ASA/Eastern Fishing & Outdoor Exposition LLC, produces East Coast outdoor sports consumer shows in Worcester, Mass., Oaks, Pa., and Suffern, N.Y.
