Strictly Sail Pacific is hosting America's Cup Day on Thursday in Oakland, Calif.
The public is invited to see the America's Cup trophy during the day and attend a "vision presentation" in the evening with a panel of speakers representing the America's Cup Event Authority, America's Cup Race Management, the America's Cup Organizing Committee of San Francisco and Oracle Racing.
The presentation will focus on changes to the 34th America's Cup and how it expects to connect millions of fans worldwide to the sport of sailing and showcase San Francisco as a top international sporting destination.
The trophy will be on display during the show at Jack London Square. The evening presentation will take place at The Waterfront Hotel in Oakland.

The 29th annual Suncoast Boat Show will take place Friday through Sunday at Marina Jack in Sarasota, Fla.
Hundreds of boats from Gulf Coast boatbuilders and dealers will be on display at the show, along with a range of marine electronics, products and accessories.

The Strictly Jersey Boat Show is set for April 29-May 1 at the South Jersey Marina in Cape May, N.J.
Launched three years ago, Strictly Jersey is open only to New Jersey-based boatbuilders, dealers and companies that furnish products and services that New Jersey's boaters use.
More than 60 manufacturers, dealers and land-based vendors have participated in the show each year.
Boat buyers will find a small, targeted show. Every in-water vessel is available for a sea trial, with dealer concurrence.
New Jersey boaters are entitled to two complimentary passes by presenting a Sea Tow membership or safe boating certificate at the gate, online or from their dealer.

The American Boat Builders & Repairers Association is offering its Marine Equipment Operator Training course May 3 at Dredge Harbor Boat Center in Delran, N.J.
Marine straddlelift training will be offered in the morning and marine forklift training will be offered in the afternoon.
The association's operator training addresses such classroom topics as OSHA requirements, operator responsibilities, accident prevention, equipment inspection, boat-lifting and boat-blocking standards, job-site safety, lift planning, supervisor awareness and rigging considerations.
The fee for the course in marine straddlelift or forklift is $150 a person. Registrants who opt to take both will pay a reduced fee of $275.

The American Superyacht Forum is scheduled for May 16-18 in Fort Lauderdale.
Hosted by The Yacht Report Group and organized by Superyacht Events, the American Superyacht Forum is a three-day conference involving 300 industry decision makers and influencers, including shipyard managers, designers, captains, bankers, brokers and lawyers.
Workshops will cover topics such as American's Cup 2013, environmental issues and the charter market. The event concludes with a deep-sea sportfishing tournament.
