Trade group to host breakfast meeting during Newport show

The Rhode Island Marine Trades Association is hosting its industry partnership breakfast on Sept. 14 at the Newport Yacht Club on Long Wharf from 8 to 9:30 a.m. during the Newport International Boat Show.

RIMTA’s board is holding the breakfast, and it plans to present Anchor Awards to U.S. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., and Hunt Yachts president Peter Van Lancker for their contributions to the Rhode Island marine industry.

The breakfast will double as RIMTA’s September member meeting. Summer accomplishments and activities in the upcoming months will be discussed.
