U.S. Powerboat Show organizers report upbeat mood

Despite four straight days of drizzle and a lower turnout, the U.S. Powerboat Show held Oct. 15-18 in Annapolis, Md., saw renewed interest on the part of buyers, according to organizers.

Though attendance was down from 2008, when there was considerably better weather, the approximately 15,000 attendees who braved the elements were serious shopper, exhibitors said, with many of them leaving with merchandise or sea-trial dates.
