The 87th annual Progressive Chicago Boat, RV & Sail Show opens today in McCormick Place’s South Hall with more than 600 powerboats and sailboats and almost 100 RVs on display.

About 50,000 people will visit the Chicago show, show manager Keith Ogulnick told the Chicago Tribune.

The show has a lineup of interactive features to attract visitors, including the all-new Progressive Boat Club, Fred’s Shed Interactive Learning Center, and Paddlefest, according to show organizer National Marine Manufacturers Association.

“We have just gotten through this stretch of weather that’s out of control. This is perfect. It gets everybody in this lifestyle,” Ogulnick told WGN.
