Area boating enthusiasts were saying goodbye to the bar and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs in a new way on Saturday.

Hundreds filled the Overland Park (Kan.) Convention Center for the Overland Park Boat Show, put on by the Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association, where more than 10 big screens broadcast the AFC playoff game between the Chiefs and the Houston Texans while fans enjoyed beer and barbecue.

Fans told Fox Channel 4 that they want to make it a tradition, bringing summer vibes to January. The boat show ran from Thursday through Sunday.
