One killed, five injured in weekend accident

Jason Russell, 39, of Eugene, Mo., died as a result of a two-boat accident on Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri on June 29. The crash occurred at about 10 p.m. Russell’s body was recovered by divers June 30, according to an article on LakeExpo.com.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 1990 Formula driven by 37-year-old Bradley Siebeneck of Holts Summit, Mo., collided with a 2002 Formula driven by Kelly Wise, 59, of Atlantic, Iowa, near Isla del Sol.

Five people were injured in the crash. Siebeneck, Wise and 42-year-old Brian Basham sustained minor injuries. Tammy Wise of Atlantic, Iowa, had moderate injuries, and Nathan Sneller, 37, of Jefferson City, Mo., suffered serious injuries.

None of the individuals was wearing a life jacket, according to the report, and Wise was arrested for boating while intoxicated.
