Compared with 2011, 11 percent more unique visitors reached the site in the first quarter, a total of 4.9 million. In the second quarter the increase was 34 percent, to 7.1 million unique visitors.

As site managers looking for indicators of an interest in buying boats, we consider this a good first step and, likewise, we have seen a strong increase in the second step — the number of searches conducted on the site. There were 6.3 million searches in the first quarter and 9.1 million in the second quarter. These were increases of 8 percent and 24 percent, respectively, from the same periods in 2011.

The total number of email and telephone leads registered by Boat Trader visitors did not grow in the first quarter, but began to show movement in the second quarter, when 2 percent more leads were generated.
