A ranking of the total number of new and used models listed at Boat during the past year reveals some familiar makes, and four of the top five predominantly build aluminum boats. This is, in part, because a number of major aluminum builders market new models heavily on the site.

The ranking, which takes into account boats added to Boat Trader between April of 2013 and March of this year, shows that the ubiquitous Tracker brand has the most listings. Taking three of the other top five places are brands in Brunswick’s Freshwater Group — Lowe (No. 2), Lund (No. 4) and Crestliner (No. 5). Several pontoon builders are also in the top 20, including Sun Tracker (No. 6), Bennington (No. 9) and Sweetwater (No. 11).

Leading the fiberglass builders in total listings is long-standing market leader Sea Ray, which ranks third, followed by Bayliner (No. 7), Yamaha (No. 8) and Chaparral (No. 10).
